Even as the lockdown 3.0 remains in force cab aggregator firm on Monday said that it will resume service in 100 cities while strictly adhering to measures such as social distancing, compulsory mask wearing and non- air conditioned rides for preventing coronavirus infection.
Also as per the protocol the service has been allowed in green and orange zones only within a city. Further, in a cab only 2 passengers shall be allowed who can use the passenger seats.
Only two passengers will be allowed in a single Ola cab and they can only use the passenger seats by the window or at the rear of the car.
Further the rides during the crisis have been made friendlier both for the driver as well as passengers as there has now been extended a facility to cancel the ride even mid-ways if either the passenger or driver feels unsafe while on the commute.
Also, for the driver there has been put in place a self-authentication mechanism which has to be adhered to both before and after rides. Also each ride shall be followed by a cleaning and sanitization regime.
Notably the company's services shall be resumed after the Centre allowed their functioning in some of the cities from today (May 4, 2020).
