Volkswagen has announced that about 200,000 diesel car owners have received compensation


The German group said in a press release today that about 200,000 owners of diesel cars accepted compensation, which Volkswagen agreed in February with the German association VZBV ( Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband ), which represents about 260 thousand owners of diesel cars in the Dieselgate dispute.

The carmaker should pay a total of about 620 million euros in compensation to these owners. The group also added that another 21,000 cases are still under review. 

Volkswagen shares are down 1.11% on Xetra today.

ČSOB Pojišťovna will open most of its branches and outlets from Monday

From Monday, April 20, ČSOB Pojišťovna will reopen most of its branches and outlets in an emergency regime. Of the total number of 218, only fifty will remain closed, the remaining 168 will be accessible to clients again under increased safety and hygiene measures. "However, there is still a remote service option, where the client can handle most of their requests online, by phone or by e-mail. In the same way, a special website, an infoline or the Client Zone is still available, “ said Jiří Střelický, CEO of ČSOB Pojišťovna.

Branches and points of sale were closed by ČSOB Pojišťovna on 16 March to prevent and protect the health of its clients and traders. “Now the places are equipped with special transparent counters and retailers are equipped with enough protective equipment,” added Jiří Střelický. It will be open at all the mentioned branches in the country (you can find their list HERE ) at the same time, on Mondays and Wednesdays, always from 9 am to 12 noon and from 1 pm to 5 pm. Outside this period, the possibility of distance service remains valid on other days of the week.
