"He begged me not to hit him": the day Mike Tyson discovered his ex-wife with Brad Pitt

American Mike Tyson is a character in boxing and sports in general. And it is that the retired boxer and former world heavyweight champion has endless stories to tell throughout his life.

One of them, curiously, links him to actor Brad Pitt . The story dates back to 1989, when the retired fighter was filing his divorce with actress Robin Givens .

The scene, by the way, was not to the liking of a Tyson who did not expect to see his ex-partner with another man and, seeing that he was the attractive actor, it was a hard blow for him.

"I was in an emotional coma. They had taken my heart and crushed it, all of that left me completely overwhelmed. I had no energy to fight or anything, "said the former boxer.

However, his mere presence was enough for Pitt to be scared and think that he would receive a blow from the fighter.

"Brad must have been drunk or something, but he implored me not to hit him and told me that they were just reviewing a script," added Tyson at the time.

“It was not the best way but I met him there. And the truth is that he seemed like a very friendly guy. I'm not mad at Brad, in any way. Clearly I don't hold a grudge because if it did, I wouldn't be alive anymore, ”Mike insisted.

However, who has a very different version of events is Robin Givens. The woman assured, years later, that although Pitt and Tyson met outside their home, there was never the possibility of a fight or the actor's pleas.

"No, that never happened," the actress briefly told in an interview with Wendy Williams. In addition, he revealed that Tyson was irrelevant to the breakdown of his fleeting relationship with Brad.

“Brad and I met in an acting class and it was a time when we both took our work very seriously. Also, we couldn't walk down the street and people were checking our trash. It was a lot for both of us, ”Givens recalled.

It is worth mentioning that the relationship between the actress and the retired boxer was not without problems. According to the woman, there were several episodes of violence on the part of Tyson, which led her to report him and insist on divorce.
