Miandad mimicked More's style after getting frustrated by his unnecessary appeals against him. Sunil Joshi replaces MSK Prasad as chairman of Team India selection committee

The Cricket Advisory Committee on Wednesday appointed former spinner Sunil Joshi as the chairman of the BCCI's senior men's selection committee. Joshi, who represented India in 15 Tests and 69 ODIs, replaces MSK Prasad. Former fast bowler Harvinder Singh has also been added to the selection committee. The CAC will review the candidates after a one-year period.

BCCI halves IPL champions' prize money to ₹10 crore as part of cost-cutting drive

The BCCI has halved the prize money for this year's IPL champions and runners-up as part of its cost-cutting measures for the upcoming edition. Instead of ₹20 crore, IPL 2020 champions will receive ₹10 crore. Further, the runners-up will get ₹6.25 crore from earlier ₹12.5 crore. The two losing qualifiers will now get ₹4.3 crore each.

West Indies captain Kieron Pollard has become the first cricketer to play 500 T20 matches. The 32-year-old achieved the feat after taking the field in the first T20I against Sri Lanka on Wednesday. Pollard was also the first cricketer to play 300 and 400 T20 matches. Pollard has scored 9,966 runs and taken 279 wickets in his first 499 T20s.

23-year-old Lungi Ngidi becomes fastest South African to take 50 ODI wickets

South Africa's 23-year-old fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has become the fastest South African bowler to reach 50 ODI wickets, achieving the feat in the second ODI against Australia on Wednesday. Ngidi reached the 50-wicket mark in 26 ODIs, overtaking former fast bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe, who held the previous record by reaching 50 wickets in 27 ODIs.
