A deepfake video of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Tesla CEO Elon Musk in the pilot episode of the original Star Trek, 'The Cage', has gone viral. In the face swap video, Bezos plays a Talosian alien, while Musk plays Captain Christopher Pike. The video was uploaded by YouTube account TheFakening, which features several deepfake videos of other famous people.

It involves swerving the car's steering wheel in whichever direction the lyrics of the song 'Cha-Cha Slide' mentions. The trend reportedly caused several near-accidents by participants.

TikTok viral stars could make up to $1million per post: Research
TikTok can be used by some influencers to charge nearly $1 million per post by next year, US-based research group Morning Consult said. 17-year-old singer, Loren Gray from Pennsylvania, is said to be the most marketable current TikToker with researchers estimating she could charge as much as $197,000 per post. Gray has more than 38 million followers on TikTok.

Alphabet's balloon-powered internet project partners with Airtel, SoftBank
Some of world's telecom companies, including Bharti Airtel and SoftBank, have formed HAPS Alliance and partnered with Alphabet's balloon-powered internet project Loon to promote use of stratospheric vehicles for internet access. The Alliance will push for governments to adopt high-altitude internet while working on common standards. It aims to create a single "compelling message" to sell the idea.

Apple's patent shows iPhone with no ports, wrap-around display
A patent filed by Apple shows it is exploring a new iPhone model with no ports or buttons, complete with a wrap-around glass screen. Apple had filed it in August and described the device as an electronic device with a "six-sided glass enclosure". The wrap-around display could be used to show battery level and notifications, images in patent suggested.

Google warns Huawei users not to use a side door to download its apps
Google has warned Huawei users that sideloading Gmail, YouTube, the Play Store, or other Google software in newer Huawei phones could lead to serious security and privacy implications. Huawei was barred from using Google services following a ban by US in May 2019. Google said sideloading carried high risk of installing an app that has been altered or tampered with.

MGM Resorts sued over data breach of 10.6 million guests
US casino and hotel operator MGM Resorts has been sued over a data breach that occurred last summer and reportedly involved details of over 10.6 million hotel guests. MGM earlier confirmed it had "discovered unauthorised access to a cloud server that contained limited information for certain previous guests". The lawsuit has been filed by law firm Morgan & Morgan.
