Egypt's former President Hosni Mubarak, who ruled for 30 years, dies aged 91

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has died at the age of 91 in the capital Cairo, the state media reported on Tuesday. Mubarak ruled over Egypt from 1981-2011 until he was ousted by the military. He was jailed after found being guilty of complicity in killing protesters during the Arab Spring but was freed in 2017.

Spanish hotel with 1,000 inside on lockdown after man tests +ve for coronavirus

The H10 Costa Adeje Palace hotel in Spain is on lockdown after an Italian tourist tested positive for coronavirus. Around 1,000 holidaymakers staying at the hotel are said to have been quarantined inside the complex. Police are said to be surrounding the hotel to make sure no one enters or leaves to control the deadly virus' spread.

Iran's Deputy Health Minister tests positive for coronavirus

Iran's Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi on Tuesday said that he has tested positive for the new coronavirus. "Generally, I feel fine. I just felt a bit tired, I had a fever, and it will drop," he added. The death toll due to coronavirus in Iran has risen to 16 and at least 95 cases of the virus were confirmed.

The Indian government is arranging a chartered flight to repatriate Indian nationals on board the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise off the Japanese coast. Only those nationals who have consented, not tested positive for coronavirus and cleared by the medical team will be repatriated.
