You’ll Get What You Need With This Very Acoustic Rolling Stones Performance

But we got this song! So maybe we can get what we want if we try sometimes? And we just might find: The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts pulled off the coveted four-part acoustic living-room harmony on Saturday’s One World: Together at Home special, grooving to “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” in a quadrant so perfect that we barely even noticed Watts was air-drumming the entire time. (Fun fact, Watts didn’t drum on the original song due to, uh, reasons beyond his control.) Now, after enjoying five minutes of Let It Bleed bliss, on to the more important homeware queries: Where did Jagger buy his floral curtains? Who gave Wood that inflatable palm tree? And is Picasso’s The Old Guitarist just out of frame, fueling the inspiration for Richards’ posture?

Three downtown Co-op staff test positive for COVID-19

The Calgary Midtown Co-op delayed its daily opening on Sunday to finish an “overnight deep clean” after three employees tested positive for COVID-19.

Ken Keelor, CEO of Calgary Co-op, said in a statement that there is no evidence the cases were contracted in the store located at 1130 11 Ave. S.W.

“Each of the employees started experiencing symptoms on different days during their days off, and have not returned to work since that time,” said Keelor. The last date any of the affected worked was April 12.

The infected employees worked in the produce, meat and grocery sections of the Co-op. As a precautionary measure, the grocery store was thoroughly disinfected, said the statement.

“Calgary Co-op is working with AHS on all appropriate steps to ensure the ongoing safety of our team members and members,” said Keelor.

“At this time, the possible risk of transmission to the public is low and the disinfection of the store was taken as a precautionary measure.”
The CEO said there is an increased potential for front line workers to contract COVID-19 and they will continue to monitor the evolving situation.

Keelor said the Calgary Co-op chain has implemented numerous measures to ensure the safety of staff and client, including:

Disinfection of high-touch areas, such as shopping carts and baskets
Ongoing cleaning and sanitizing throughout the store
Installation of plexiglass dividers at all check-outs, pharmacy and customer service counters
Staggered check-outs to adhere to physical distancing
Installation of physical distancing markers on the floor and one-way aisles
Restriction of the number of shoppers allowed in store
PPE for front line staff
Removal of self-serve food stations
Sanitizing wipes and gel available for customers
Wage increases for all front line staff
Increase to a $250 limit for credit card “tap” payments
Designated shopping hours for seniors, immunocompromised and people with disabilities
